Wolffia, World's Smallest Plants


This world there are many species of plants and diverse. There are beautiful and there is a unique, if there is the largest flower in the world, there'd be interest to the size of the smallest in the world. Record holder of the world's smallest flower falls on plants in the genus Wolffia species, a type of plant without roots is very small in the types of duckweed family (Lemnaceae) living in a quiet stream and pond.

This plant is also regarded as a plant with the smallest size in the world. There are two species of the genus Wolffia, namely Wolffia Augusta, Australian species, and Wolffia globosa, a tropical species. On average, these plants only have a size of not more than 1 mm, with average weight of just 150 micrograms!
